Passeport d'Objets

In the list of the most important memories of my life, there are a lot of voyages. I quickly realised
that these escapades were essential to my happiness and that I needed a little extra in my daily life to make me dream. I found this little extra through travel souvenirs. Hanging on my shelves, on my walls and my fridge or attached to my keys, these objects of memory accompany me in my daily life and revive the emotions of my past adventures. They are at the same time a place for one or more memories, but also a part of a country’s culture, a small piece of its history. Through this publishing object, I wanted to create a great collective travel. To do this, I went to meet other travelers of my generation, to know their preferences and the souvenirs they bring back with them. Then, to embark them with me on a great world tour, through our discoveries as amusing than intriguing, colorful
or frightening, for the pleasure of the eyes.
The result of my «experiment» is 18 travellers, 60 objects, 26 countries and 62 cities spread
over 16 maps. The project is composed of 2editions and 1 world map: the main edition is an
Atlas showing the objects and their origins. The second edition is a small passport format with
the travellers interviewed and the results of their interviews. And finally the world map poster against the project by offering an overview of the itinerary. Behind each object is a traveller. In this second edition, you will discover their profile and their travel preferences. There is not only one way to travel!
